UPPER LIP SURGERY (LIPS LIFT)

As we age, lips can lose their shape and fullness. The distance between the upper lip and the nose can also increase as we age and will continue to do so over time. In relation to the lips, they tend to descend as support is lost. To correct this and reduce the distance between the nose and the upper lip, a lip lift or lip augmentation can provide a

long-term solution.

The lip lift called "Bullhorn" is aimed only at the upper lip area and lifts it to reveal a wider smile and reduce the distance from the nasal area. This procedure begins by making an incision just below the nose and shaped like a bull's horn, resulting in a virtually undetectable scar. From there, a small strip of tissue and skin is removed, the muscle contracts, and the upper lip rises to its new elevated position.

The lip lift procedure usually takes about 45 minutes.

A "Bullhorn" lip lift is an ideal procedure for patients who have:

  • Thin and thin lips

  • unbalanced lips

  • a very long upper lip

  • Distance greater than normal between upper lip and nose

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A LIFTING LIFTING?

A lip lift is a surgical procedure, it is an excellent way to reduce and reshape the area of the lips and under the nose. This procedure will help create fuller, slightly raised lips and will allow your upper teeth to be more visible when smiling.

Most patients can quickly return to daily activities and return to work after 4-5 days. A slight swelling is expected, but it should go away on its own after a week.

For complete face rejuvenation, a lip lift can be combined with any other facelift procedure, blepharoplasty, eyebrow lift and injectable fillers.

WHO IS A LIP LIFTING CANDIDATE?

The “Bullhorn” lip lift can be a good solution for men and women who want to improve their lips. This can include patients who were born with a thin upper lip and those who seek to reduce the distance between the upper lip and the nasal region.
